Everyday we have been receiving a free advent book!

Anti-Bullying Week 2024 takes place from Monday 11th – Friday 15th November, with the theme: Choose Respect.
Anti-Bullying Week is an annual event that aims to raise awareness of bullying of young people, with an emphasis on prevention and effective responses to bullying. It began in 2002 and is coordinated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

This morning we recapped Team H-A-P and neuroplasticity.
We tried out a fun activity to demonstrate how repeating something can help us remember it.

Why not carry on and try this activity at home!
In Phonics this week we will be covering the following best-fit rules.

During Circle Time we enjoyed our special visitors!

Some of us in Y2 enjoyed time with Romeo and Juliet today!

P.S we also enjoyed show and tell.

Today in circle time we discussed equality and the recipe required for a good friend. The children came up with some very good ideas including:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Well done to our first three who got their advent book to take home!

It might be cold outside, but inside in our cosy classroom every Monday we enjoy a longer session of circle-time. We share our thoughts and feelings.

Happy Check-out on Friday!

In the morning we had a wonderful morning circle-time check in.
In the afternoon we enjoyed the sun, fresh air and reading aloud.
Well done to those who have read every day (and updated it in the reading record!) and displayed excellent behaviours for learning.
We enjoyed some Friday afternoon golden time.

On Friday we enjoyed some golden time. Some of us enjoyed exploring on the computer and others went in our special “Doctors and Nurses” area.
Mr Lo would like us all to be responsible both in school and at home! We need to look after our belongings and help around at home!
Enjoy the story read by Mr Lo.
Don’t forget in Toucans we are expected to read for at least 10 minutes a day at home. We can update our reading diaries (also known as reading records) by ourselves or we can ask our adults for help. Remember we can include all reading including reading subtitles on TV, reading a leaflet through the post, reading what’s on our cereal boxes and reading books of our faith.
In PHSE we discussed feelings, how different things make us feel and we looked at how we are all unique. We enjoyed listening to Reach for the Stars and then drew important things that make us unique.

Congratulations to our dance star!!!!!!!!
